Grace and Peace welcomes Dr. Daniel Doriani, Ph.D., author and professor at Covenant Theological Seminary for a lecture on the trustworthiness of the bible.
The Bible has been called “weird” and the God of the Bible has been labeled a “vindictive, bloodthirsty megalomaniac.” Yet Christians look to the Bible as their only rule of faith and practice. The whole message of Christianity stands on the Bible as truth, but that doesn’t mean everyone agrees and trusts in it as authoritative. Apparent contradictions, issues like slavery, racism and polygamy, and the demeaning of women are a few of the reasons why people reject the authority of the Bible. So how can the bible be trusted?
